نساء محجبات في أحد شوارع مدينة برشتينا في كوسوفا عام ١٩٠٩م.

وقد خضع اقليم كوسوفا للحكم العثماني طيلة ٥ قرون حتى عام ١٩١٢م حيث احتله الصرب واغلبية سكانه من المسلمين الالبان والاتراك.
