وتضيق دنيانا فنحسب أننا
سنموت يأسا أو نموت نحيبا
وإذا بلطف الله يهطل فجأة
يربي من اليبس الفتات قلوبا
قل للذي ملأ التشاؤمُ قلبه
ومضى يُضيّق حولنا الآفاقا
سر السعادةِ حسن ظنك بالذي
خلق الحياةَ وقسَّم الأرزاقا
