إنه أقدم مسجد في أوروبا. بناه التابعي موسى بن نُصير عام 92 هـ ، في قرية مونستير، جنوبي إسبانيا، وجدّد بناءه الخليفة الأُموي في قرطبة، عبد الرحمن الناصر 
.
ما زالت تُؤدّى فيه الصلاة إلى اليوم 
أهل القرية فخورون بهذا المعلم الأندلسي، وقد احتفلوا عام 1990 بمرور ألف عام على بنائه
